Damien Wicks
Damien “Damo” Wicks is the charismatic front-man and dynamic bassist of Dr. Elephant, a vibrant three-piece band that started in Darwin, found its home in Cairns, and now rocks Perth. Known for his impressive vocal range and commanding stage presence, Damo drives every performance with energy and soul. He has also appeared on Season 2 of Australia’s Biggest Loser, showcasing his stamina beyond music.
With roots in Darwin’s longest-running cover band and a move to Cairns in 2014, he’s performed at festivals, corporate events, and alongside Aussie icons like The Veronicas, INXS, and The Angels. Awarded “Best Live Music Act” at the 2016 Cairns Post Hit Awards, Damo’s versatile repertoire spans from Stevie Wonder to Queen. When not touring, he regularly performs across Far North Queensland, Darwin, and Perth, delivering sing-along anthems and soulful covers that light up every stage.
