Karl van Wel
Karl van Wel is a versatile performer, training from the age of four. A graduate of Newtown High School of the Performing Arts in Sydney and the NSW Talent Development Project, Karl has excelled as a singer, pianist, dancer, and actor.
His early career highlights include being a featured artist in the NSW Schools Spectacular and starring in two national Telstra commercials.
A classically trained musician, Karl recorded at Studios 301 and performed to a sold-out crowd at his debut headline show at the Lazy Bones Lounge in 2024. He recently toured as a swing for “The Vallies” and performed for the State and National Business Awards.
Now based in Perth to study Musical Theatre at WAAPA, Karl performs with Cluedunnit Murder Mysteries and maintains a residency at Avalon, bringing his signature “Piano Man” act to premier venues across the city.
